The San Juan Capistrano Equestrian Coalition’s main fundraiser event, the 10th Annual Barn Dance, will be held at Blenheim Farms on Saturday, October 20, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The coalition will recognize horse veterinarian Dr. Mark Secor as the 2012 Distinguished Equestrian of the Year. Secor played an instrumental role in helping local equestrians and their animals during the Equine Herpes Virus-1 outbreak earlier this year. The award is given to any group, corporation, non-profit or person that has made contributions to the equestrian community.
The Barn Dance will feature an evening of food, drinks, live entertainment and fundraising. In addition to supporting the coalition, this year, all proceeds benefit Special Camp For Special Kids and Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano.
