By Steve Breazeale

Kickoff time here at the game!

0:00 Mucerino returns the opening kickoff 56 yards. Good blocking there. Stallions with good field position

Stallions convert on a big third down at the Dolphins 20-yd line. Gibson to Mucerino.

White runs it in for a touchdown, Stallions up 7-0. That Mucerino return set it all up. A couple Dolphin offsides didn’t hurt the Stallions either. Really quick score there by San Juan Hills.

Marcus Hughes makes his first carry in several games for the Dolphins to start their opening drive. Good news for Dolphins fans that he’s back and healthy. Dolphins punting.

The Stallions take over again with good field position.

Cody Betzler is having a nice series, two stops for a loss. Him and Devon Vise have been beasts since they’ve been converted to DE’s.

Dolphins defense finally gets a stop, midway through the first quarter here. Stallions still lead 7-0.

Dolphin QB Mac Vail has shown that he can scramble and run. He just did that to get the Dolphins a first down at midfield.

The numbers on these custom, camo jerseys are hard to read!

Start of the 2nd Quarter
The macarena just started blasting at this game….I don’t know how to react to that.

Vail tries to go deep to the end zone but the Dolphins get called for an offensive P.I. Looked pretty obvious. That penalty puts them wayy back.

The Stallions punt/kick return teams have been great tonight, big gains. Stallions go 3 and out and punt, Dana takes over at midfield again.

Matthew Slade picks off Jacob Gibson at the Stallions 26-yd line. The homecoming king is holding court!

After Slade’s pick Marcus Hughes runs in a 5-yard touchdown to tie it up. 7-7 in the 2nd quarter.

Big defensive stand by the Dolphins forces Stallions to punt out of their own end zone.

Dolphins get the ball at the Stallions 20-yard line, looking to score right before the half, definitely in FG range.

Mac Vail connects with Logan Warren for a 20-yard touchdown strike. Dolphins get one in before the half, 1:47 left. That’s gotta be good for the Warren clan. Logan’s brother,a veteran, is one of the many veterans being honored tonight.

Dolphins lead 14-7.

Stallions fumble on an attempted lateral, Dolphin safety Nigel Crosby recovers with one minute to play, Dolphins looking for more.

Halftime: 14-7. Good game so far. Not much passing from either team just some old school running football.

Start of the 3rd quarter

Dolphins get the ball, driving down the field at their own 30-yd line.

Andrew Dunn breaks through for a big dolphins gainer, that’s the first time I’ve seen him get his number called all year, dolphins at the 26-yd.

26-yd TD pass from Vail to Corey Chambers in the back corner of the end zone, nice play. Dolphins up 21-7, they score on their opening drive.

Aside from their opening drive the Stallions haven’t had a sustained offensive drive since. Dana’s defense is clamping down.

Dolphins facing a 3rd and long get some help from a Stallions personal foul. Fresh set of downs for Dana.

Dolphins driving down the field again. Marcus Hughes looks fresh and ready to go. He’s gaining four yards almost every time he touches the ball it seems.

A big Brian Scott run puts the Dolphins inside the 10. I’m guessing they’re going to run again, just a hunch.

Mac Vail runs it in from 1-yard out, Dolphins up 28-7 in the 3rd. The Stallions need to get something going if they want to make this a game again.

Start of the 4th quarter
Stallions looking like they are going to let Gibson air it out here, he’s looking comfortable. A big Stallion gain gets negated on a personal foul penalty that drives them back to their own 13-yd line.

Big pass play from Vail to Elliot Sutherland-Dunning puts the Dolphins down at the Stallions 11-yd line. Good route, good throw there. Dolphins looking to ice this one.

Vail tries to thread one in to the end zone, the ball gets deflected and picked off at the 1-yard line, a dolphins penalty after the play puts the Stallions at 45-yard line. *Cue the comeback music*

Well maybe not, a big sack by Betzler halts a Stallions drive. Betzler has had a great game. He’s a big physical player who used to be the Dolphins middle linebacker earlier this season but has thrived as a DE.

BIG pass play from Gibson to Scott Hoover makes the score 28-14, Stallions passing game is waking up with the clock winding down.

The Dolphins are running the clock down here late in the fourth. If they hold on to win they will pull even with Laguna Hills at 3-1 in league.

Game over, Dana Hills wins 28-14. The Dolphins now stand even with Laguna Hills at 3-1 and own a piece of the Sea View League title. It’s the schools first football league title.
