After a three-year hiatus, the Multicultural Art Series returns to La Sala Auditorium at the San Juan Capistrano Library, starting this weekend.

On Saturday, January 26, Scottish singer and songwriter Jim Malcolm returns to San Juan Capistrano to play a collection of songs. Malcolm previously performed several times at La Sala, both as a solo act and as the lead singer of Old Blind Dog. He will be joined onstage by the Capistrano Celtic Chords.

Showtimes are 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets can only be purchased at the door before each show and cost $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.

The Multicultural Art Series began in 1990 with performances in the library, courtyard or during the fall and winter months in La Sala. The series went on a temporary hiatus in 2010 due to renovations at La Sala and the retirement of beloved librarian Teri Garza in 2012. The series is sponsored by the San Juan Capistrano Friends of the Library and made possible by volunteer Music Director Bob Slater.
