A man was injured Saturday night in what police are calling a possibly gang-related incident.
Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at about 11:30 p.m. January 26 and found a 20-year-old man shot once in the chest, authorities said.
The man, whose name has not been released, was discovered in an alley behind the 26500 block of Calle San Francisco, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino.
No description of the shooter was given, other than that the suspect was a male driving a dark or silver colored SUV.
An investigation by the OC Sheriff’s Gang Enforcement Team is ongoing.
The shooting victim is expected to survive, Amormino said.
Anyone with information should call OC Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
