Funeral services have been set for San Clemente restaurateur Tony Carbonara.
Carbonara, the owner of Carbonara Trattoria on Avenida Del Mar, died Thursday after suffering a stroke the previous day.
A rosary and viewing will be held Monday, January 28, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, located at 105 N. La Esperanza in San Clemente. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., also at Our Lady of Fatima.
An open house to celebrate of Carbonara’s life will be held Tuesday at Casa Romantica from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. A burial will be private.
The Carbonara family has asked, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Boys & Girls Club of the South Coast Area, Sunrise Rotary Club or any other local organization.
