The St. Margaret’s Classic Film Series & West Coast Film Fest’s Lit to Flick kicks off Tuesday, February 5, with a showing of East of Eden at the Marcus D. Hurlbut Theater in the school’s new Performing Arts Center.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. with pre-screening commentary from West Coast Film Festival co-founder and former studio head Robert Kline.
From 5-5:45 p.m., St. Margaret’s librarian Darla Magaña will host a discussion of John Steinbeck’s book, which inspired the film. Special guest Bill Stevenson, professor of English at Saddleback College, will join in on the chat to provide extra insight on Steinbeck’s work.
