The plan to extend the 241 Toll Road was burned by local governments and eventually charred by the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board in 2015. Now, a new plan is rising from the ashes.
Recently, San Clemente Councilwoman Kathy Ward, the city’s liaison to the Transportation Corridor Agencies, presented the City Council with the new proposals to extend the 241, which includes proposals of extending a road through Cristianitos, another road that would connect to the Pico/La Pata intersection and a few other plans.

A community forum on the topic will be hosted by Get Moving Orange County, an organization that addresses “transportation mobility concerns in South Orange County,” according to its website. The forum takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at St. Andrews by-the-Sea, located at 2001 Calle Frontera in San Clemente.
