The two schools are only 2.3 miles apart. Their baseball teams have gotten hot at the right moment. And today, at 3:15 p.m., the San Juan Sports Park will play host to St. Margaret’s and Capistrano Valley Christian’s baseball teams in a CIF Southern Section Division 6 playoff matchup.
Both teams caught fire at the end of their regular seasons and head into Tuesday’s game with lots to be confident about.
The Eagles have put up 43 runs in three playoff games, outscoring their opponents by a ridiculous 43-5 margin.
The Tartans have paved their way to the semis on the strong performance of their pitching staff which features Harrison White (2.45 ERA) and Charles Williams (1.91 ERA).
Eagles coach Clemente Bonilla said that he would be sending out righty Aaron Anast in Tuesday’s matchup with Sam Eichler available off the bench.
