We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. The Capistrano Dispatch

Join local nonprofit Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano as they celebrate over 50 college applications from the class of 2017. Since 2006, Breakthrough has served over 300 highly motivated, underserved students as they work to graduate from college and break the cycle of poverty in their families.

A fundraiser to benefit Breakthrough is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the San Juan Capistrano McDonald’s, located at 31822 Del Obispo Street.

Breakthrough students will be there to introduce themselves and provide more information about the program. Twenty-five percent of all in-restaurant proceeds (excluding drive-thru) will directly support the Breakthrough students and program.
