Interstate 5 at Ortega Highway in San Juan Capistrano will be closed tonight, according to the California Department of Transportation.
Both northbound and southbound I-5 will be closed at the bridge, from 11:59 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closure is necessary for Caltrans construction crews to complete concrete pours on the Ortega Highway bridge.
Freeway traffic will be detoured off at Ortega Highway, pass through the intersection and re-enter I-5 on the sequential Ortega Highway on-ramp. On- and off-ramps will not be accessible to regular city traffic, as they will be reserved as detour routes.
In addition, Ortega Highway, between Del Obispo Street and Rancho Viejo Road, will be closed.
