Members of the community in Capistrano Unified School District (CUSD) recently served as “Principal for a Day” to connect with students and understand the perspective of education officials, according to CUSD Insider, a CUSD news source.

Notable San Juan Capistrano residents participated, including Ricardo’s Place owner Ricardo Beas, who served as principal at Kinoshita Elementary School with principal Jose Pedraza, and Mayor Troy Bourne, who visited San Juan Elementary School.

Participants also attended a luncheon to discuss their experiences while eating food catered by San Clemente High School culinary arts students.
