The San Clemente Island Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will celebrate the 225th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Monday, September 17.

The public is welcome to join chapter members at the entrance of Mission San Juan Capistrano at 12:30 p.m. to commemorate the anniversary with a bell-ringing ceremony. Other chapters are expected to participate in a nationwide ceremony, called “Bells Across America,” between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Mayor Larry Kramer is expected to be in attendance to present a proclamation for Constitution Week, which runs from September 17-23.
