SUPPORT THIS INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. That’s why The Capistrano Dispatch is now turning to you for financial support. Learn more about our new Insider’s program here. Thank you.

The San Juan Capistrano Library is not only a place to connect with information, it provides a variety of programs and activities in which you can connect with other people. Friends of the Library and library staff are always working to add new events to the schedule. More “Eat, Move, Grow: Healthy Living” programs are part of the May calendar, and a few of them are listed below:
EAT: Information about nutrition will be offered on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m., when Mission Hospital Wellness Corner returns to share some healthy drink swaps and delicious ideas for making veggie and fruit smoothies.
MOVE: Adults and teens are invited to join Yoga Bungalow instructor Tam Nguyen for an hour of relaxation and yoga on Wednesday, May 22, at 5:45 p.m.
GROW: On Tuesday, May 28, at 1 p.m., families are invited for a flowerpot decorating, vegetable planting party. All supplies will be provided, and space is limited.
Kicking off the month of June, the San Juan Capistrano Library will host World Wide Knit in Public Day on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. until noon in the courtyard and the La Sala auditorium. Visit the Yarnover Truck and earn an opportunity-drawing ticket for each knit or crochet item brought to donate to charity.
For more information about these and other events, please visit the San Juan Capistrano Library, or call 949.493.1752 to talk with the helpful staff, or go online at ocpl.org/libloc/sjc.
