Friday Oct. 28

Boo Cruise
5-7 p.m. Hop aboard one of serval 20-minute Harbor cruises. There will be a costume contest on every cruise. Rides are $5 per person, and proceeds benefit the local nonprofit, Community Autism Now. Haunted House
6-10 p.m. Walk though several rooms of this all-ages haunted house. Features include animatronics, lightning and fog. There will also be candy and glow sticks for the kids. 6:30 p.m. Get in the Halloween spirit as Historical Society guides lead a “spooky” walking tour of Los Rios Street. Tickets are $8 for adults, and $4 for children. Tours start at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and also run on Saturday, Oct. 29. ‘Dial M for Murder’
8 p.m. Deception, murder, and passion complicate Frederick Knott’s darkly brilliant tale of jealousy and greed, Dial M for Murder. 6-9 p.m. This Ocean Institute Halloween tour begins in the lab of a mad scientist and continues onto the wharf and the Pilgrim. Hot cider, hot cocoa and activities will be offered. 8 p.m. For one night only, the Camino Real Playhouse presents War of the Worlds, a staged dramatization of the original Orson Welles and Mercury Theater on the Air broadcast that aired startling news of reports of a “huge, flaming object” that had fallen to Earth on a New Jersey farm. An anxious radio audience came to the frightening conclusion that Earth was the target of a full-scale alien invasion.
