Rancho Mission Viejo will unveil new hilltop homes at a celebration this Sunday, Sept. 25 in the Esencia village.

Esencia is the second development community to open in the 23,000-acre Rancho Mission Viejo area. About 25 percent of the land on the ranchis designated for development.

The Esencia development includes plans for a K-8 school, coffee shops and bars, community areas and more. The landscape includes native species and drought-tolerant plants. There are also small community gardens, citrus groves and fruit trees.

Home prices range from the high $300,000s to over $1 million. The open house runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, and guests can tour 11 neighborhoods. For more information, visit
