The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. The Capistrano Dispatch
The San Juan Capistrano Garden Club has entered into a five-year understanding with the city to design, enhance and maintain the La Sala courtyard and entry at the San Juan Capistrano Library. On hand for the installation of phase one of the La Sala beautification project on April 21, were the crew from Stevens Gardens—Salvador Contraras, Nicholas Vieyra and Joaquin Estrada; Dan Reynolds and his crew from AC Landscaping; David Hubler and Gil Leon from the city of San Juan Capistrano; and Valerie Drey and Andrea Jones from the SJC Garden Club.
The crew from Stevens Gardens drilled holes in pots, helped stabilize them and planted them once they were in place, and Reynolds’ crew made sure the pots had a stable surface to sit on with decomposed granite installed underneath. Plumbing was also installed for watering.
