The Ark of San Juan Companion Animal Rescue is sponsoring a free pet spay and neuter clinic on Sunday, Nov. 20, in the back parking lot of San Juan Capistrano City Hall, located at 32400 Paseo Adelanto.Ark officials said the clinic is being offered due to high demand in the community “for easier access to affordable cat and dog altering, vaccination and microchipping.”

The clinic is open to residents of San Juan Capistrano. Veterinary services will be provided by the Society for California Veterinary & Vaccine Care. SCVVC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization “dedicated to saving lives and improving pet and wild animal health, safety, and welfare.”

Spaying and neutering is by appointment only—call SCVVCat 714.993.9193 to schedule an appointment. A limited number of appointments are available, and free microchipping is available for the first 25 sign-ups. Pets must arrive at 7-7:30 a.m. and must be current on vaccinations. Do not allow pets to have food or water the night before. There is no limit on the number of pets per household.A low-cost vaccine clinic for all pets from any city will also be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
