Several San Juan area student-athletes were selected to their respective division’s All-CIF team. Here is the complete list of athletes awarded the honor for 2013.
Boys Volleyball: Saddleback Valley Christian freshman setter Noah Dyer was named the Division V Player of the Year. Senior Nick Worrell, junior Torrey Karlsen and senior Brenden Vogt were all named to the Division V team. The Warriors head coach Ryan Van Rensselaer was named the division’s Coach of the Year.
St. Margaret’s sophomore opposite Matt Nicholas and senior setter Oliver O’Donnell were named to the Division IV team.
Softball: Saddleback Valley Christian junior infielder Madisyn Moynihan was named to the Division VI All-CIF team. Moynihan had an impressive .617 batting average, with a team-high 27 RBIs and five home runs.
Baseball: Capistrano Valley Christian senior pitcher Aaron Anast and junior Willie Quiros were named to the All-CIF Division VI team. The Eagles made it all the way to the CIF-SS Division VI title game for the second year in a row.
St. Margaret senior and Yale commit Harrison White was also named to the Division VI squad. White had a team-high .525 batting average and 23 RBIs. On the mound White was the owner of a 5-2 record and a 2.45 ERA.
