San Juan Hills High School in San Juan Capistrano was ranked as one of the top 100 of 1,700 public schools in California, according to rankings released by website

Out of 18,000 public schools nationally, the school was ranked at 473.

Niche’s website says it does its rankings based on a “rigorous analysis of academic and student life data” from the U.S. Department of Education that includes tests scores and college data.

Niche evaluates schools on academics, teachers, school diversity, college prep, health and safety and in all of those areas gave SJHHS a grade of A.
