Some of the top high school football programs in Southern California traveled to San Juan Hills High School on May 16 to compete in the second annual Gunslinger Passing Tournament.
Mater Dei defeated St. John Bosco in the eight-team tournament’s championship game. The Monarchs beat Villa Park and the Braves beat Edison in the semifinals to secure championship berths.
Host team San Juan Hills lost to Oaks Christian 26-20 in the consolation championship bracket.
JSerra Catholic and Oceanside High School also competed at the tournament.
