Summer Nites Concert Series marks the beginning of the summer season in the city
The Capistrano Dispatch
Although the tail end of June gloom hovered in San Juan Capistrano during its kickoff Summer Nites Concert Series on Wednesday, June 20, the excitement of summer from the hundreds who came out to the concert outshined the weather.
Motown and funk band Soultry brought dance-inducing tunes to the Historic Town Center Park stage, with locals of all ages hitting the dance floor. Vendors ranging from the Camino Real Playhouse, San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce, Fiesta Association, and more, made appearances in addition to San Juan Capistrano Police Services and the city’s adopted 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton.
Stay tuned for more Summer Nites Concert Series fun, with the next event taking place from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 featuring Arena; Aug. 15 with Doo-Wah Riders; and Sept. 19 with The Trip.
