The flavors ranged from sweet to savory on Tuesday night at San Juan Hills Golf Club.
More than 500 guests arrived to sample a bite, have a drink and support the Fiesta Association’s efforts during the 2013 Taste of San Juan. More than 20 local restaurants and eateries were on hand, presenting samples of some of their premium items.
At the end of the night, Fiesta Association board member and Taste of San Juan chair Stephanie Frisch presented this year’s winners in four categories:
Best Appetizer: RokPrime Steakhouse and Grille for their lobster, tomato and avocado salad.
Best Dessert: 3:16 Bakery Shop for their assorted selection of cookies and pastries.
Best Original Dish: San Juan Hills Golf Club for their gourmet burger-slider bar.
Best Main Dish: L’Hirondelle for their beef bourguignon.
The Capistrano Dispatch was on site to tally votes for the best dishes from the taste. Below is a selection of photos from the event.
