SUPPORT THIS INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. That’s why The Capistrano Dispatch is now turning to you for financial support. Learn more about our new Insider’s program here. Thank you.
A toy collection to benefit the children of San Juan Capistrano’s adopted 1st Battalion, 11th Marines is underway. Help support the 1/11 by dropping off new, unwrapped toys in the toy collection bin at City Hall or the San Juan Capistrano Community Center during business hours now through Dec. 15.
City Hall is located at 32400 Paseo Adelanto and the Community Center is at 25925 Camino Del Avion. Business hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The toys will be delivered to the children before the holidays.
For more information, contact Lindsey Stigall at 949.443.6315 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteer bakers are also sought for the 1/11 bake sale to be held at the city’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 5 at the Historic Town Center Park. Proceeds from the bake sale will go to support the 1st Battalion, 11th Marines and their families.
