Volunteers are welcome to join the Rancho Mission Viejo Family on Thanksgiving Day and give back by helping out during the Turkey Trot. The race on Thursday, Nov. 28, features a 5K and 1K Little Gobbler’s run, with proceeds benefiting The Reserve.
Volunteers must arrive at 7 a.m. Volunteer opportunities include helping runners stay on course, giving water to runners and assisting with parking and traffic direction. Volunteers must be a minimum of 13 years old; those under 18 will require a parent’s consent on the liability waiver.
“Those who are between the ages of 13 and 15 years old must be accompanied by a guardian during the time of their shift,” the event description said. “All participants and volunteers, regardless of age, must sign a liability waiver prior to their shift.”
Race packet pick-up will be on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 27502 Antonio Parkway, #B, Ladera Ranch. Visit turkeytrotontheranch.com for more information.
